  • Deb resides in Okato, where she is deeply ingrained in the day to day lifestyles of many of our clients. With a particular specialization in farming, Deb brings invaluable hands-on expertise to the table.

    Before becoming a director at M&L, Deb was the manager of her own family dairy farm in Coastal Taranaki, for over a decade.

    Deb's experience, practical insights and modern approaches significantly benefit our clients in the Dairy and Agri sectors. Her financial prowess extends across diverse industries, thanks to her previous roles supporting businesses with day-to-day financial administration.

    Deb's commitment to community leadership is evident through her role on the Board of Trustees for Coastal Taranaki School, where she was also previously the board chair for 6 years.

    Along with raising her three boys, she also leads a weekly gym class in Rahotu in her spare time.

    Deb brings a Coastal Taranaki presence to M&L with her splitting her time between M&L HQ in the New Plymouth CBD and working from home in the Okato/Coastal area, popping in to see clients along the way.

Aleisha Kinane

  • Aleisha is an accountant with more than 20 years’ experience, having previously worked at TSB Bank and Tandem Group and joined Murphy & Landrigan in July 2025.

    Aleisha was born and raised in New Plymouth and is currently completing the last papers of her Accounting degree with Massey University. Outside of work, she is a busy parent for her 3 teenage children with husband Nathan, and she is also an avid netball player – being in 2 different weekly indoor netball teams, and can also been seen out and about every evening on her daily dog walk.

    Aleisha is both a Xero and Xero Payroll Certified advisor, and works with a wide variety of clients in the  both commercial and rural sectors.

Ankita Redkar

  • With 9.5 years of experience in the accounting industry—2 years in India and 7.5 years in New Zealand—Ankita brings a wealth of knowledge to her role. Her career highlights include working in Statutory Audit with Deloitte in India and managing commercial clients and investment portfolios in New Zealand.

    Ankita’s favorite part of her work is partnering with clients to help grow their businesses, simplify their finances, and add meaningful value.

    Originally from Mumbai, India, Ankita has called Taranaki home for the past five years. She loves the region for its family-friendly atmosphere, lively community, and peaceful escape from big-city life.

    Ankita lives with her husband Sai, a mortgage advisor, and their four-year-old daughter Myra. Outside of work, she enjoys singing, reading, traveling, and Indian classical music.

Delwyn Watson

  • Delwyn Watson is an Accountant and Business Advisor with more than 40 years experience working with local Taranaki businesses. Delwyn joined Murphy & Landrigan for the first time in 1985 and worked for John (Murphy) and Kevin (Landrigan) for two decades, being an integral part of their team through this time.  Delwyn was held in such high regard that she was recruited from public practice to join a large local commercial client of the firms to be their in-house accountant, where she had been ever since, until returning to M&L in 2022.  

    Delwyn is an Accountant and Xero Certified Advisor and excels at building long standing relationships as a trusted business advisor for her clients.  Her calm and no-nonsense approach is valued by her colleagues and clients alike. Delwyn is looking forward to rekindling old relationships with clients and team members she worked on during her first stint at M&L plus building many new relationships as well.  

    Outside of work Delwyn is mum to daughter Lisa, who is now a Pharmacist, and she has recently completed building her ‘forever home’ and is now onto designing the landscaping for her pride and joy.  She’s partial to a glass of wine (sav of course) and is a big fan of fresh seafood!

Kristen Hughes

Accountant and Business Advisor

  • Kristen has spent over 22 years in the accounting industry, building strong, long-lasting relationships with her clients. She loves getting to know her clients and their businesses inside and out, helping them make the most of their software and driving efficiency. A career highlight has been working alongside her mentor Kevin Landrigan, from whom she has absorbed as much of his knowledge as possible.

    Originally from the Wairarapa, Kristen moved to Taranaki in 2002 after studying in the Manawatu and has loved raising her family here ever since. She enjoys everything Taranaki has to offer, from beautiful beaches to summer days spent at Pukekura Park.

    At home, Kristen stays busy with her four daughters Karli, Millie, Mia and Eva, her husband Brendan and a small zoo of pets. The family’s three dogs—Darci the Samoyed, Comet the Bearded Collie, and their old Shih Tzu, Twistie—are show stars, with Darci and Comet even qualifying for Puppy of the Year, to be held in Auckland early 2025. They also have two Ragdoll cats, three bunnies (including one rescued wild rabbit), and a handful of birds to complete their lively household.

    In her spare time, Kristen volunteers as Treasurer for several clubs, including dog clubs and the Spotswood Volleyball Club, where she’s been Treasurer for over 15 years.

Renee Wilson

  • Renee is a Chartered Accountant and Xero Certified Advisor and prior to joining M&L in November 2022, Renee spent 5 years with PwC in New Plymouth and two years with Strategy Collective in New Plymouth. Most recently Renee was  the inhouse accountant at Safe Business Solutions in New Plymouth for the past four years.

    Renee was born and raised on her family Dairy farm in Stratford, and attended Stratford High, then studied for her Batchelor of Accountancy at Massey University in Palmerston North, and now resides in New Plymouth with her young family.

    Outside of work, Renee and partner Nik (who works as an Environmental Manager with Todd Energy) is a busy mum of two school-aged children who attend Frankley School. Renee has been an avid Netball player and fan all he life, and enjoys getting away up to their family batch at Coopers beach – but doesn’t always enjoy the 9-hour drive to get there!

Annette Cross

  • With 17 years of experience in the accounting industry, Annette brings huge of knowledge and expertise to the team. A Chartered Accountant, she takes pride in mentoring younger team members, helping them grow and succeed in their careers.

    Annette's favorite part of working with clients is building trusted relationships and being part of their journey—celebrating the highs and navigating the lows together.

    Originally from Auckland, Annette has called Taranaki home for the past year and a half. She loves the region’s great weather, beautiful beaches, and—most importantly—the lack of traffic!

Jo Flynn-Hunger

Accountant and Business Advisor

  • Jo Flynn-Hunger is an Accounting Technician (AT) with more than 20 years experience working in public practice in Taranaki.  Jo joined Murphy & Landrigan in April 2025, and her previous experience includes nearly a decade with BDO Taranaki, and a decade with another public practice firm in New Plymouth as well.

    Previously Jo was dairy farming in Ratapiko, helping with milkings and calf rearing whilst also raising a family, and then for the last 20 years has been in accounting. Jo thinks the work life balance of being a Mum, Meema, Partner, keeping healthy and ensuring time for her hobby of crochet along with being an accounting technician is a great mix.

    Jo is both a Xero and Xero Payroll Certified advisor, and while she has worked with a wide variety of clients in both the commercial and rural businesses, she particularly enjoys supporting clients in the dairy sector.

Dita Leffelaar

  • Dita is a Chartered Accountant and Xero Certified Advisor with more than a decade of experience in public practice chartered accounting practices, and joined M&L in July 2022 from BDO Taranaki.

    Originally from Auckland, Dita holds a Batchelor od Business from Unitec in Auckland, and she is alsobusy mum of 5 school-aged shildren. Dita lives on small lifestyle property in Egmont Village with her builder husband Steve, where they are also currently renovating and rebuilding their family home

    Mum life keeps Dita busy, along with being the treasurer for Inglewood playcentre and Egmont Village playgroup, and prior was previously Treasurer for the Kai Kitchen when they needed someone to fill in love kids so any kids charity can't say no too.  In her (limited) spare time Dita love to garden, sail, prepare resin art, bake and knit, while she also has a bee hive at home that she cares for!  Dita has recently completed NZ certificate in Apiculture would love to go on to do more.

Marion Sturmer

  • Marion has 19 years of experience in the accounting agriculture industry. She values the flexibility of working part-time from home, allowing her to balance professional and personal commitments including managing her dairy farm in Tikorangi.

    Marion is dedicated to helping clients achieve their goals and maximize the value they get from their accountant, contributing to their business success.

    Having lived in Taranaki all her life, Marion appreciates the region's natural beauty, especially the tramping trails and beach activities. Marion and her husband also have three grown children.

Matt Landrigan

  • Matt Landrigan, the youngest director at M&L, is a specialist in tax advice and entity structuring.

    Matt brings a fresh perspective to the practice, especially beneficial for new and emerging businesses that can tap into his expertise. His adeptness in agricultural and larger businesses adds a new dimension to our clients offerings.

    Matt's insights have proven invaluable for clients seeking innovative solutions in a rapidly evolving business landscape.

    Before joining M&L, Matt spent five years with BDO Taranaki, before landing coveted roles in corporate accounting and taxation roles with Centuria NZ (formerly Augusta Property Group) and energy giant FirstGas Group.

    Matt went to New Plymouth Boys' High School and then earned his degree in Commerce and Administration, majoring in Accounting, Commercial Law and Marketing at Victoria University.

    Matt and wife Roya have two small children, Aflie and Ada, who keep both Mum and Dad busy. Matt is also a keen sports fan and is currently working his way around the region’s pubs, ensuring he is doing his part to support our local hospitality industry.

Reneka Lilly

Business Support Administrator

  • Reneka Lilly is our Business Support administrator - and is one of the first points of contact for our practice.  

    Reneka was born and raised in New Plymouth and attended New Plymouth Girls' High School. She joined Murphy & Landrigan in June 2025 after nearly a decade at Connect Legal (previously RMY), where she was a Legal Secretary. Reneka has extensive experience with AML (Anti-Money Laundering) CDD (Customer Due Diligence).  

    Outside of work Reneka is a busy mum to two active children with her husband Anton - and she loves going on outdoor adventures and attending weekend sports.

Patrick Landrigan

  • Patrick Landrigan is a Chartered Accountant with 20 years of experience in public practice chartered accountancy. As an additional string to his bow, he is also a qualified Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court New Zealand (non-practicing).

    Patrick is Taranaki born and bred and attended New Plymouth Boys’ High School. He graduated from Victoria University with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce and Administration (Accounting) degree.

    He went on to join international accounting firm PwC for 5 years in their Private Client Services team, followed by a further 3 years as a Manager with KPMG in Wellington in their Private Enterprise Team.

    Patrick returned home to Taranaki in 2014 to work alongside his father, Kevin, in public practice at BDO Taranaki, and in 2021 Murphy & Landrigan (once a family firm founded by Patrick’s grandfather John Murphy) was born under Patrick’s leadership.

    Outside of the professional realm, Patrick is an avid horse enthusiast, co-owning a 30-acre horse farm in Brixton, Taranaki. His extensive experience in managing this secondary business endeavour is a wealth of knowledge that he generously imparts to our clients.

    Patrick's personal commitments alse extends to the arts, having dedicated 13 years as the Sales and Marketing Manager for the New Plymouth Operatic Society.

Brendon Franklyn

Accountant and Business Advisor

  • As our resident DJ, and the newest Grandfather on the team, Brendon brings a warm and approachable nature to the M&L office.

    Before beginning in the acounting industry 17 years ago, Brendon was a butcher in New Plymouth, with skills he still keeps up his sleeve for the BBQ at home.

    Brendon’s love of accounting has grown from getting a good grasp and understanding of our clients and their businesses, and getting them a favourable tax result. For Brendon, creating a great relationship with his clients is his number one goal.

    Brendon and his wife Sandra are the proud parents of Kaitlin and William, and are overjoyed to have recently welcomed their first grandchild Ollie, into the family.

Jane Gadsby

Associate Chartered Accountant and Business Advisor

  • Jane Gadsby is an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) and Xero Certified advisor with more than 40 years' experience in public practice accounting in Taranaki. Jane joined Murphy & Landrigan in 2025 after 25 years with BDO Taranaki, where one of her many hats included training both Matt Landrigan and Patrick Landrigan! (She clearly did a good job!).  Jane's sense of humour and pragmatic and practical outlook are a welcome addition to the M&L team.

    Having worked with a wide variety of clients in both the commercial and agricultural sectors, Jane demonstrates extensive knowledge in both accounting and business. Jane is also a local business owner, and, along with her husband Ross they own and operate Jane's Gallery (where Picture framing is an Art!).  

    Outside of work Jane has equally as busy social life, having been involved with New Plymouth Squash club for many years, being Treasurer and an active member of Box Office Boxing, a volunteer front of house team  member at the TSB Showplace, a volunteer with Sport Taranaki and she is currently training for (another) quarter Ironman.

Katherine Roberts

Chartered Accountant and Business Advisor

  • Katherine Roberts is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ experience working in public practice in Taranaki.  She joined Murphy & Landrigan in February 2025, and her previous experience included nearly two decades with BDO Taranaki, where she co-led the Xero team (along with Patrick Landrigan).

    Katherine attained her Bachelor of Commerce at Victoria University Wellington, and is both a Xero and Xero Payroll Certified advisor.  Having worked with a wide variety of clients in both the commercial and not for profit spaces, she demonstrates extensive knowledge in both accounting and business, with a particular interest in supporting clients with the software and technology needs and solutions.

    Katherine is always looking for ways to improve clients’ business performance and help identify the best solutions to streamline their processes. As well as being a Mum and taxi driver to 2 very busy teenagers, Katherine loves to travel and is always trying to plot her family's next adventure, while she also volunteers as the treasurer of Gymnastics Waitara Incorporated.

Nadayna Fleming

  • Nadayna joins M&L with over 10 years of experience as a Chartered Accountant, working alongside some of Taranaki's most successful businesses, having previosly been with Tandem Group.  She completed her Bachelor of Commerce at Victoria University, Wellington, and completed her CA certification whilst working back in her hometown, New Plymouth, and is also a Xero certified Advisor.  Nadyana, along with her husband Daniel co-own New Plymouth Hotel King & Queens.

    Along with being an expert accountant, Nadayna is also a fantastic skier and dancer,  and spends her weekends on the New Plymouth Walkway and up Mount Taranaki, alongside her husband Daniel Fleming, their young son, Zypher and doggo Eiger.

Peter Brown

  • Peter Brown (or 'Pedro' as he is affectionately known as in the office) is a dedicated professional in the accounting field, since 1999.

    His journey began with a solid foundation at IR, where he worked from 1982 to 1989. Afterward, Peter embarked on a two-year overseas experience in London, gaining invaluable international exposure. Upon returning, he explored various jobs before earning a business diploma from WITT, which led to his first official accounting position.

    Throughout his career, Peter has prioritized building and maintaining strong client relationships. Many of his current clients have been with him for over 20 years, and he takes pride in witnessing their growth and continued success, knowing he has played a small part in their journey.

    Peter was born and raised in New Plymouth. For him, one of the highlights of living here is the breathtaking view of both the mountain and the sea from his house, with the added bonus of being able to visit both within an hour.

    Peter is married to Angela, and they have two children - 18 year old daughter, Lucy, and their 22 year old son, Marcus.

    A passionate sports enthusiast, Peter enjoys watching rugby, cricket, league, and golf. He played cricket himself until 2023 and now finds it much easier to enjoy as a spectator.

Taher Mohammed

  • Taher is a highly experienced chartered accountant who supports all forms of businesses - from commercial and corporate, to investors, rural and agricultural businesses.

    Taher previously worked for close to two decades at BDO Taranaki, where he was also the head of Quality Assurance and Review (QA) and Compliance Officer.

    Taher has deep experience and expertise in international taxation – both for New Zealand tax residents living overseas, and overseas tax residents living in New Zealand. His interests also extend into the financial world where he keeps a keen eye on share investments and property investment. Taher's rich cultural background and financial expertise contribute to the diverse tapestry of our firm's leadership.

    Taher was born in Hyderabad, India, completed a Master’s Degree in Commerce and Accounting from Osmania University in India, and moved to Taranaki in early 2001.

    In 2024, Taher along with his wife Asra, and their children Sara and Zayed relocated to Perth, Australia, where Tahar remains an integral part of the M&L team - albeit from a slightly warmer climate!
